We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team at Woodlands Primary Healthcare. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities to ensure efficient patient care in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
  • Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints.
  • Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Administer medications/vaccinations as directed and perform basic lab tests (e.g., blood draws, EKGs).
  • Provide patient education on medications, treatments, and post-visit care.
Administrative Duties:
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient check-in/out, and verify insurance coverage.
  • Maintain electronic health records (EHR) with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Answer patient inquiries via phone/email and coordinate referrals.
  • Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are stocked.

Requirements
  • 1+ years of experience in a clinical setting (primary care preferred).
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and infection control protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills and compassion for diverse patient populations.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a must
